Discover the Best Fenugreek Powder for Black Hair Growth

Fenugreek Powder – The Miracle Herb for Hair Growth

Not only an aromatic spice often found in Asian, Middle Eastern and North African cuisine, for centuries, fenugreek, or methi, has been recognized for its health giving properties. Although cultivated in many arid areas around the globe, it originates in south and central Asia, and is often used by Indian, Bangladeshi, or Pakistani people to improve their health and beauty regimes.

Fenugreek stimulates blood flow to the scalp, nourishing the hair follicles and encouraging faster, healthier hair growth, while its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties help treat dandruff, scalp irritation and acne. Ideal for use as a detangler due to its high mucilage content, it leaves your hair bouncy and shiny, with a much improved flexibility.

Fenugreek Oil

Mix a fenugreek seeds with coconut oil, and very carefully heat until the seeds go red. Allow to cool slightly before applying the warm oil to your hair and scalp to encourage healthy hair growth.

For another extremely beneficial fenugreek based hair oil, I use Herbal Hair Oil Mix. It’s a blend of 18 herbs, including fenugreek, champaca seeds, hibiscus, and vetiver, all known for their rejuvenating and restorative properties. In a base oil, such as coconut, jojoba or argan, soak a handful of the herbs, overnight. Strain the oil and apply it to your hair. Leave it on for as long as possible before washing as normal. This mixture will keep fresh for a month or more (no need to refrigerate it), and after using this twice a week for two months, there is a noticeable difference with my hair. The general condition started improving immediately, but it took longer to see the increased growth, and now other people are noticing that my new, healthy hair looks longer, thicker and more lustrous.

Fenugreek Hair Masks

Mix fenugreek seeds or powder with natural, full fat yogurt and a little fresh lemon juice into a paste. If you used seeds, leave the mixture to stand for a couple of hours while the fenugreek seeds swell and become soft. Apply the mixture to your hair from root to tip, and gently massage it into your scalp. Leave the mask on for about an hour, before rinsing and washing as normal.

This mask is excellent for promoting hair growth:
Mix fenugreek seeds with aloe vera gel, a little coconut oil, and 6-7 drops of rosemary essential oil. Apply this to your scalp, and leave it on for at least half an hour. Rinse as normal.

Fenugreek Conditioner

Soak fenugreek seeds in water overnight, and in the morning, squeeze the seeds in your hands, catching every last drop of the slimy liquid. Discard the seeds, and use the liquid as a detangling conditioner, making sure you cover every strand, right to the tips.
